[Accountability-dt] For review - Final Version of Enhancing ICANN Accountability CWG Charter

Dear All,

Apologies for the lateness, but in re-reading the latest version of the
charter, we spotted a couple of issues that we thought would benefit from
clarification in the charter. These have been proposed in the attached
version (redline and clean) and include:
* Problem statement: Some proposed additions including reference to the
process to date to provide context for those reading the charter that may
not be familiar with the discussions that have taken place previously
* Similarly for problem statement, added reference to changing historical
relationship with the US Government to provide context
* Expert advisors ­ included reference to letter that was sent to the
community in relation that addressed some specific questions in relation to
expert advisors
* Fixed a couple of grammatical issues
We believe all of these proposed changes are non-material, but if you
disagree, please notify the list as soon as possible.

Reminder: if you have any other minor edits / corrections, please share
these with the list by 20.00 UTC at the latest.

Dear All,

Please find attached a redline and clean version of the proposed Final
Charter for the Enhancing ICANN Accountability CWG (note, there are a couple
of small edits I made in addition to those discussed on the call to
correct/add grammar, links and references). If you spot any additional minor
edits/corrections, please share those with the mailing list before 20.00 UTC
today (Monday 3 November). Following that, the final charter will be
submitted to the different ICANN Supporting Organizations and Advisory
Committees for their consideration.

Below you¹ll find the notes and action items from today¹s meeting.

Notes 3/11:

1. Introduction and Roll Call

DT members should speak up (in today's meeting) and make themselves heard in
case they are issues with the Charter.

Comments should be channelled SO/AC chairs to DT chairs and DT chairs will
liaise back with the group as a whole.

2. Review of Charter document:

Goals&Objectives Section

ACTION: Staff to ensure that "or committed to" language in reflected
throughout the document.

Membership Section

Concern about why not to have a SOI required for each member/participants

--> adjustment in language

3. Next Steps

Are all SO/AC represented on the call and planning to endorse charter?
* ALAC -- meeting on 25 November
* ASO -- still waiting on confirmation from ASO but shouldn;t lead to any
concerns on timeline
* GAC -- still waiting on confirmation for the next GAC meeting
* 
* Action Items:

* Before sending out, Staff to circulate a clean version of this latest edit
for review by DT until 20:00 UTC
* DT Chairs to reach out to SO/AC Chairs with latest version of Charter
* DT to reach out to respective communities regarding charter and selection
of members for the CCWG.
