Dear Sir/Madam,

it has come to my attention that you are proposing an amendment to the .com registry agreement, which will entail/make possible significant increases in price for the registration of .com domains. 

I strongly oppose to this. Such a price hike will have very significant consequences to registrants in, e.g., third and second world countries. For companies and individuals in these countries, these hikes in price may prove prohibitive, effectively barring them from registering or holding on to .com domains. .com domains are the most widely recognised, and therefore, all should have equal access to them. The internet should remain a free and open space to all. 

I urge you to reconsider this move, and consider hiking prices for other extensions instead.
