Giving .com management to a private company and giving them the allowance
To raise prices is a bad idea from ICANN.

Ever heard of highway 407 just north of Toronto? It was built by the
government then sold off to a private company. That company has been
raising prices, nickel and diminishing Canadians out of large sums of money
for decades. Now the highway is so expensive only the elite can afford to
use it.

You will price small businesses and entrepreneurs out of .com domains if
you give Verisign the option to raise prices.

This is a bad idea.
