[council] Fwd: [gnso-chairs] One character IDN report

Hi Stéphane,

I'd agree your approach, and keep in mind that JIG includes representatives
from SSAC as well.

I think the nature of this statement is more techno-policy and
implementation related. I'd suggest if you can simply contact Edmon who
chairs the JIG and let him know about such "friendly" reminder from the
Staff. I am assuming the Staff needs only input from SSAC to close the loop
so for the time being the Council should be less involved. However if any
action needs to be taken at the Council level in the near future, Edmon
would provide useful responses for Council to consider as we have informed
him to be prepared.

Let me know if it works. Thank you and have a good weekend.

Best,

Ching

p.s. I think what's being working / communicating gives a more clear picture
of CWG --
a. GNSO / ccNSO / ASO can form joint group at direction of Board.
b. Joint group work on charters that the charter needs to be approved by
participating SO.
c. Experts from the community can be invited to participate the joint group.
d. Group report, once approved by participating SO, can be sent to Board for
consideration.
e. While Board reviews the report, they can always contact Advisory groups
(GAC / RSAC / SSAC / ALAC) for official and final recommendation.
