Dear Stéphane,

As you may know Lesley is on holidays so she asked me to inform you on the ccNSO decisions relating to the letter to the Board on to the introduction of Single Character IDN TLD's.

As Lesley  indicated In her email ( 27 January 2012) the JIG is a joint WG, and the ccNSO Council believes that a joint letter from the Councils remains the preferred option, and the ccNSO Council would appreciate the views of the GNSO Council on this matter and whether the GNSO is willing to support the proposed letter ( included in redline and clean).

At its meeting today ( 14 February), the ccNSO Council adopted the letters to the Board on the the Introduction of Single Character IDN TLD's (both the ccNSO and Joint letter included).

Please note that the letters have changed, in comparison with the previous version send to you by Lesley. The changes are:
 Joint letter: The date in the first paragraph has been adjusted (December 2012 -> December 2011)
CcNSO and loint letter: The paragraph on consultation of SSAC, GAC and ALAC has been changed to reflect the publication of SAC 052 on Single Character IDN TLDs on 31 January. As a result the questions for clarification in this paragraph have been updated as well.
