Dear Council Members,


Based on feedback provided by Council members at ICANN76, ICANN org has updated the “Guidelines for ICANN org Global Domains & Strategy Liaisons to the Policy Development Process<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/file/field-file-attach/guidelines-icann-gds-staff-liaisons-pdp-30sep22-en.pdf>”. Please find attached the updated version (dated 6 September 2023) as well as a redlined version.



The updated version includes additions to the “Role of the GDS Liaison” related to the coordination between the GDS and Board Liaisons as well as the identification of dependencies with other ongoing PDPs or community work.



ICANN org welcomes your feedback on these updates and will plan to provide an overview during the Policy Implementation update at the GNSO Council working session at ICANN78.
