[CPWG] [GTLD-WG] [registration-issues-wg] Message to CPWG from Joanna Kulesza, Co-Chair of CBWG

For a single session at Kobe ( will it be h60min or  90?), I would 
choose #1-4. It all depends on the amount of time available. I agree 
that the people attending would probably have some base knowledge.

I am currently preparing a slide set on ICANN for a local university 
class on internet governance (60min). I will cover a bit of history (how 
we got here) and an explanation of ICANN's remit. Then go directly to 
topics of interest -- hot issues -- in this case it will be geonames, 
privacy and data protection and jurisdiction. Then to the 
multistakeholder system and how we attempt to deal with these issues in 
that context. Finishing with ways that people can get involved, get more 
info, etc. That will hopefully leave some time for questions.

I have worked as a sessional and have done lots of guest lecturing. It 
is always a process of honing the message. I will be interesting to see 
how this format works. There is no doubt that people will want to hear 
about how/why this affects them before they will take any further steps.
