Dear all,

At the last CPWG call of 20 May 2020, I tabled the first draft of an
At-Large proposal for a revised Community Priority Evaluation (CPE)
Guidelines. There was a resulting action item for me to circulate this
first draft ("the Draft") for comments by CPWG members.

The Draft is accessible by way of a *Googledoc (comment-only): Proposed
Revisions to CPE Guidelines, 19 May 2020
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Y8PZD91dl9IVtTXmVh2ZEzKhw6mk7-3PGzxipLpI4WU/edit?usp=sharing>*

Please note that the Draft is my interpretation and application of the
comments received (1) during discussions at the 2 CPWG Single Issue Calls
on CPE held in April; and (2) the call for comments made during the Single
Issue Call of 23 April 2020.

Should you wish to comment on the Draft - and especially if you are not
entirely familiar with the issues - I would strongly urge you to first
review the following 2 resources:

1. The recording, presentation and chat discussions for the 2nd Single
Issue Call on CPE held on 23 April 2020, all found at
https://community.icann.org/x/94PsBw
<https://www.google.com/url?q=https://community.icann.org/x/94PsBw&sa=D&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw0U7gF8cThXju4Lgl4f0DJ3>
;
and

2. The recording and presentation on the topic of Community Applications at
the CPWG call of 20 May 2020, both found at https://community.icann.org/x/
K4cEC
<https://www.google.com/url?q=https://community.icann.org/x/K4cEC&sa=D&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw0DFyeiWwGWM0PKOWeek8ra>
,
where I have attempted to summarized at a high level, the major issues and
corresponding proposed revisions ("fixes") in the latter part of the
presentation slide deck.
It would greatly assist the At-Large agenda on CPE if you could highlight
any concerns, or provide any comments or indications of support or
otherwise on the Googledoc *by Friday 29 May 2020, 11:59 UTC*.

On this note, I wish you all a pleasant weekend and happy holidays to those
celebrating Eid or another public holiday in your country in next days or
coming week.

Thank you and kind regards,

Justine Chew
