[CWG-Stewardship] DT-O proposed financial objectives for PTI

Thanks for the feedback Rudi. Are you suggesting that we make reference to the FY17 budget plan in the financial objectives? It seems to me that it would be more appropriate to talk about the FY17 budget plan in DT-O or CWG comments on the plan. I would like to think that the objectives would remain constant over many fiscal years.

Dear Chuck,

As usual, very good work. A simple, perhaps unnecessary question : wouldn’t it be good to refer to the FY17 budget plan as we discussed in Marrakech ? That document contains real figures and gives a kind of guarantee there has been provision of the adequate budget.

DT-O agreed on the following financial objectives for PTI today:

“The financial objectives of PTI are to provide financial stability and operational excellence. Financial stability is defined as sufficient funding of PTI so as to avoid any kind of negative impact on the IANA Functions as a result of changes to ICANN’s financial situation. It furthermore is intended to capture the notion of secured funding for PTI that goes beyond one fiscal year. The objective of operational excellence means that there are sufficient funds budgeted and available to ensure that PTI is able to deliver operational excellence as defined by Service Level Expectations/Service Level Agreements approved by each of the three operational communities for their respective IANA services.”

This is being sent to the full CWG for comment, edits and approval.

Chuck
