I am Stephanie Perrin; I was recruited to join the Experts Working Group
(EWG) at ICANN as a privacy expert in 2013.  Since then I joined the
NCSG and have served four years on GNSO council, on the Privacy Proxy
Services Accreditation Working Group, on the IAG for the WHOIS Conflicts
with Law, on the RDS PDP (dormant at the moment) and on the RDS II
Review Team.  During this time I wrote my doctoral dissertation on the
contention between data commissioners and ICANN on the WHOIS directory
(University of Toronto, 2018).  I worked for 30 years in the Canadian
federal government, largely on privacy and IT policy issues, including
two years as Director of Research and Policy at the Office of the
Privacy Commissioner of Canada.  I am currently working on a research
project funded by that office, to study the feasibility of standards to
facilitate third party access to personal registration data.

Please select a member of your group to speak for all of you. I have also asked that each member send in a brief “bio” (2-4 sentences) that we can post in the team wiki pages. (We have received one so far.)

I have sat through many meetings that start late, calculating the combined hourly rate of attendees waiting for the meeting to start. Thanks in advance for making your best efforts here. I certainly understand you have professional matters that must be addressed and might delay your entry from time to time.
