Steve

I fully support this suggestion. Chuck has done what he can but he still has the knowledge of the situation. I fully agree with the suggested path as he has gathered enough momentum to still make the group move

So I support your suggestion here it makes logical sense that chuck tidy up the work

The crux our dilemma is the whois system is disconnected from reality. The account holder supplies the names and contact information for the registrant, admin, tech, etc., but these roles are not defined and have no hard and fast meaning. Accordingly, detailed discussions about whether this information should be public or who should have access to this information is impossible to determine.

This should also be the time to recalibrate the direction of the group, and to seek the involvement of people who can put together a proposal that is soundly based on fundamentals and addresses the needs and interests of the multiple constituencies.

>> As I communicated on the WG list several weeks ago, when I accepted the position as chair of the GNSO RDS PDP WG, I requested that there be three vice chairs, one each from the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group, the Commercial Stakeholder Group and the Registrars Stakeholder Group and noted that I would cover the Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) on the leadership team. My intent was to ensure that there would be one leader from each of the four GNSO stakeholder groups so that the views of each group could be represented, not only in the WG, but also on the leadership team. As I think everyone knows, when I retired from Verisign, I ceased being a delegate to the Registries Stakeholder Group, so I suggested to the WG and to the Registries that it would be desirable in my opinion that we add someone from the RySG.
