[gtld-tech] ICANN Monthly Reports and the new Registry Agreement

Dear Ben Levac,

The summary of changes was published on February 2017 and subsequent reminder communications were sent to the Registry Primary and Legal contacts referencing the public Global Amendment webpage with the relevant details about the effective date of these changes. The Global Amendment web page is available at https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/global-amendment-base-new-gtld-registry-agreement-2017-01-23-en.

As indicated in the FAQ resource listed in the Global Amendment webpage, Registry Operators are expected to use the new report format starting with the July 2017 Registry Functions Activity Reports.

Currently ICANN’s Reporting Interface remains backwards compatible with the previous report format with 39 columns. To be clear, the RRI system allows either report format.

If you have any further questions let me know.

Best regards,

Eduardo Alvarez

Thank you Alexander.

We submitted the "July" reports using the "old" format. Since you were able to submit the reports with the new format, I assume that the service can handle both formats for the time being.

Again, it would be great if someone from ICANN could confirm if there are any plans to enforce the new format, and if so, when that will happen.

Cheers,

Ben

Hello Benoit,

we changed the format of the reporting with the „July“ reporting period (meaning that we sent in the first report in the new format around mid august).

afair ICANN set the effective date of the new Registry Agreement to August 1st, so the above action was our interpretation of that date.

We haven’t heard any complaints from ICANN (yet?).

best,

Betreff: [gtld-tech] ICANN Monthly Reports and the new Registry Agreement

Hey everyone,

Specification 3 of the new registry agreement that just went into effect renames one of the fields in the Per-Registrar Transaction Report, and removes two fields from the Registry Functions Activity Report.

https://newgtlds.icann.org/sites/default/files/agreements/agreement-approved-redline-31jul17-en.pdf

Can anyone from ICANN comment on whether registries are expected to change the format of our monthly reports starting this month? Will the ry-api remain backwards compatible for some period of time?

I don't recall seeing anything published on this topic, but sorry if I missed it.

Thank you,

Ben
