*Registration Policies for GAC Category 1 Highly Regulated Applications*

The ICANN GAC Communique at the ICANN46 meeting in Beijing in April 2013 
advised that new gTLDs with names that relate to highly regulated 
sectors should implement a set of safeguards to improve consumer 
protection. The string .health is not included for protection. Some of 
the protections for these strings, and how they are deployed, should be 
of interest to health, legal and financial not-for-profit organizations.

The strings to be protected included: .pharmacy, .surgery, .dentist, 
.dds, .hospital, .medical, .doctor .bank, .banque, .creditunion, 
.creditcard, .insurance, .ira, .lifeinsurance, .mutualfunds, .mutuelle, 
.vermogensberater, .vesicherung, .autoinsurance, .carinsurance .bank, 
.banque, .creditunion, .creditcard, .insurance, .ira, .lifeinsurance, 
.mutualfunds, .mutuelle, .vermogensberater, .vesicherung, 
.autoinsurance, .carinsurance, .charity, .university .abogado, 
.attorney, .cpa, .dentist, .dds, .lawyer, .doctor, .corp, .gmbh, .inc, 
.llc, .llp, .ltda, .ltd, .sarl, .srl, .sal
