Your points are well-made. Given the clear requirements for Members. Individual “Members” would be inconsistent. I still think individuals could be allowed to participate as observers or some sort of non-member status,  assuming they presented credentials attesting to their involvement with non-profit organizations. 

But perhaps better stay with current structure, which has worked.
