[NPOC-EC] Draft of calls for applications for the PC

Hi Raoul,

I have refined and developed a bit the message, here is my proposal:

Dear NPOC members,

I'm sad to tell you all that, as you may or may not already know, our previous Policy Chair has quit her position for personal reasons. It's proving to be a very tough year for civil society volunteers but we must plow on, in the interest of NGOs and their members around the world.

Therefore, on behalf of the current EC, I would like to open a call for applications for this very important role in our constituency. The term is going to be limited in time, until our AGM in October when the new elected EC term kicks in, but nothing is stopping this person from applying to become the Policy Chair in the upcoming elections, which we will soon announce. On the contrary, we strongly encourage any interested applicant to also run for office in order to ensure continuity in this position.

To apply, simply send me an email with your name and a short statement of interest highlighting your (1) experience with policy work (in ICANN or not) and your (2) motivation for applying. As this is rather time sensitive, the deadline for applications is 28th of April, 23.59 UTC.

We expect the successful applicant has some experience in creating policy, even if it hasn't been done in the Internet Governance framework.
