Please remember that the Rules of Procedure require

1 Nomination and one additional endorsement submitted to the Constituency mailing list, followed by the candidate's acceptance and statement of conflict of interest, if any. Since we are running on an abbreviated time frame in order to meet the GNSO Council deadlines, these should be submitted to the list by 5:00 p.m. EST in the US.

As Constituency Secretary, Bob Connelly will publish a list of the candidates fulfilling these requirements. Bob, if you can, it would be helpful to have a list of candidates to date today, so that anyone who thinks they are already nominated or have accepted can double check.
Rick Wesson will publish the ballots by mid-day Saturday.

Thanks,

Elana Broitman

forces

Thanks Bruce. I would request that we have an abbreviated nomination and election process in order to fit into the 14-day time frame. This is a priority for registrars, so I hope we can get a range of registrars immediately.

Unless we hear otherwise, nomination period should begin immediately, allowing about 7 days for nominations, with voting to begin a week from Friday.

Thanks, Elana

	Hello All,

The GNSO approved the formation of 3 task forces in the area of WHOIS.

	(1) Data mining
	(2) Data elements collected and displayed
	(3) Accuracy

	See: http://www.gnso.icann.org/issues/whois-privacy/index.shtml
	For terms of reference.

	From ICANN by-laws:

"Any constituency wishing to appoint a Representative to the task force
must submit the name of the constituency designee to the Staff Manager
within ten (10) calendar days after such request in order to be included
on the task force. Such designee need not be a member of the Council,
but must be an individual who has an interest, and ideally knowledge and
expertise, in the area to be developed, coupled with the ability to
devote a substantial amount of time to task force activities."

Thus we need one representative from the constituency per task force.

	Regards,
	Bruce Tonkin
