[registrars] Power of ORG

Just wondering if the Registrar Constituency has a position on registrar domain pricing? What I am concerned about is that some central registries give volume discounts to the big registrars, pricing out the small registrars.

It has already happened several times. The latest is the Power of Org. Also, dot Mobi has tiered pricing based on volume. CC and TV have different prices depending on volume. I seem to remember US also had bulk discounts. Most of these programs require such a high monthly registration requirement that probably only the top 20 registrars in the world can benefit from them. That leaves the rest of the several hundred active registrars out in the cold.

As a small registrar, I am very concerned about this trend. Any feedback or thoughts are appreciated.
