Subject: Notification of Public Comment Period on PIR's proposed
implementation of DNSSEC in .ORG

Jon,

I am passing along notice to the Registrars Constituency that ICANN has
opened a comment period on PIR's proposed implementation of DNS Security
Extensions (DNSSEC) in .ORG. See
http://www.icann.org/announcements/announcement-23apr08.htm.

Can you pass this on to the Registrars list and encourage any comments?
Comments received by 23:59 UTC 24 May 2008 will be considered by the
RSTEP Review Team handling the PIR proposal. The RSTEP Report is due by
5 June 2008, but could be released before that date. The expectation is
that the RSTEP Report and comments will be considered by the ICANN Board
in Paris.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Patrick
