[RSSAC Caucus] Call for Volunteers: Local Perspective Tool Work Party

Dear RSSAC Caucus Members,


The RSSAC has approved the attached Statement of Work (SoW) on “Tool to Gather a Local Perspective of the Root Server System”. This SoW calls for the creation of the Local Perspective Tool Work Party with Ken Renard as the shepherd.


If you would like to join the RSS Metrics Work Party please send an email to me (ozan.sahin at icann.org<mailto:ozan.sahin at icann.org>) by Friday, 17 April 2020. Thanks to Abdulkarim Oloyede, Dessalegn Yehuala, Marc Blanchet, and Wes Hardaker who have already shown interest.


As noted in the SoW, the work party is expected to submit a work in progress to be discussed by November 2020. To accomplish this, the shepherd, together with staff, developed a rough WP timeline till end of October:


  *   Week of 27 April - Kick Off Teleconference (Chair selection, review scope of work, wp management, discuss assignments)

  *   Week of 18 May - Second Teleconference

  *   Week of 15 June - Third Teleconference

  *   Week of 20 July - Fourth Teleconference

  *   Week of 17 August - Fifth Teleconference

  *   Week of 21 September - Sixth Teleconference

  *   Week of 19 October - Seventh Teleconference or Face to Face Meeting at ICANN69
