All is explained in https://www.google.com/doodles/aboutMost everything is done by google's doodlers. All that is required is an email from UASG to doodleproposals at google.com with a proposal. There are plenty of relevant links that could be included in this email eg https://uasg.tech/2023/01/uasg-and-icann-announce-inaugural-ua-day-and-call-for-proposalsI suggest the email comes from a named UASG person in https://uasg.tech/about/people and is cc'ed to ua-discuss at uasg.tech So, one of the chairs would be good or maybe one of the ambassadors. This will give verifiable credentials to the email.I see no reason why we cannot make suggestions for the artwork. My first thought is a mod of the uasg logoeg //*.*/ ➜ //google.com/If you look at past doodles you will see that there is so much excellent artwork. So, I am sure that the google doodlers will make a very good job of the artwork. The only cost to UASG for a UA Day Google Doodle is a bit of time.André SchappoOn Jan 22, 2023, at 3:34 PM, Raymond Mamattah <mamattah.raymond at gmail.com> wrote:Hello André,This is an excellent idea. So how do we proceed with the idea?1. Do we need to speak to someone for the doodle to be done? 2. If yes, any idea on who to speak with and their contact details?3. Do we have to do any artwork for the doodle to be used? Are there any requirements for this artwork?4. Are there any financial obligations in this?If you can provide a lead for the questions it will help us to know the next step to take?Regards,Raymond MamattahAccra, Ghana    On Sun, Jan 22, 2023, 12:59 PM André Schappo via UA-discuss <ua-discuss at icann.org> wrote:Not sure if this has already been discussed. It seems to me that a good way to enlighten many people about UA would be to have a UA Day Google Doodle on 28th March. UA is after all an endeavour for everyone.Google doodles home is at google.com/doodlesIf you look at some of the doodles you will see a section entitled "This Doodle's Reach".https://www.google.com/doodles/lunar-new-year-2023-south-korea reaches South Korea onlyhttps://www.google.com/doodles/lunar-new-year-2023 reaches UK, France, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines and several other countries but not the whole world.I do not know how it is determined which countries are included in the reach of a doodle. I guess it is done algorithmically. Maybe based on keyword search statistics?UA is relevant to every country/culture and so it is important that a UA Day Doodle reach includes every country in the world.Google receives many request for new doodles and so there is no guarantee that a UA Day Google Doodle request submission would succeed.Thoughts?André Schappo_______________________________________________ UA-discuss mailing list UA-discuss at icann.org https://mm.icann.org/mailman/listinfo/ua-discuss _______________________________________________ By submitting your personal data, you consent to the processing of your personal data for purposes of subscribing to this mailing list accordance with the ICANN Privacy Policy (https://www.icann.org/privacy/policy) and the website Terms of Service (https://www.icann.org/privacy/tos).
