[UA-Measurement] UA-readiness of Internet Browsers

Hi Don,

Nice looking dashboard! This is the first time I see it… I assume the data is based on the 2017 study?

I tend to agree with you that browsers are the bright spot on ua-readiness, albeit a few exceptions. Nonetheless, it would be worth the effort to update the study with the goal to re-establish the conversation with those applications with sub-optimal ua-readiness. The members of the Tech group will own this part.

As far as the other applications, we are working on defining the min set of test cases here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-mRhBNetSKkQ3dc_ivQRU0YsrbBVkir9eB1nWwM0rSk/edit?usp=sharing. Please take a look and comment. This work has been slow, so UASG is considering bringing someone to expedite it. In the meantime, the UA-MWG will work on browsers, then social media, then SSL certificates (this is based on a prioritization done some time ago).

Dennis

Hi Dennis

I’ve made some comment in the document.

I’m not sure why you are exercising Browsers again when the last study found most had very high compliance rates. https://uasg.tech/dashboard/ Have all the other applications already been done?

I like the structure looking at the five verbs of UA Readiness. Good construct.

All,

We received good input on the ua-readiness matrix, so I’m proposing we advance the work on internet browsers. To that end, I have transferred the data into this Google Doc to focus solely on that application.

This will be our work item for next week’s meeting. Please review and weigh in.
