[Gnso-newgtld-wg-wt5] Draft Initial Report - Final Review - deadline Monday 26 November

Dear Work Track 5 members,

Thanks to those who submitted comments on the Initial Report prior to the deadline and those who provided input on our most recent call (if you missed the call, please review the call records at https://community.icann.org/x/yxm8BQ). As a reminder, the deadline for comments -- Friday 16 November -- has now passed. Please find attached an updated draft of the Initial Report. Please note that this is a staff draft and additional comments may come in from the co-leaders over the mailing list. In this version, you will see that older redline changes have been accepted and resolved comments have been removed. The draft only highlights with redline and comments the latest inputs – those received following the 7 November call.

The initial plan was to publish the Initial Report tomorrow, but the co-leaders would like to give the Work Track an additional week to review the new edits. The deadline for final review is Monday 26 November at 23:59 UTC. At this stage, please limit your comments to any objections to or concerns about the new redlines. Please do not open new substantive discussions or raise new issues to include in the report. All are welcome to submit input during the public comment period. There will also be additional opportunity for WT discussion following the public comment period.

The next WT5 call is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 28 November. If there are outstanding items that need to be discussed further before publication of the report, the co-leaders will use this call to address them. The aim is still to publish the Initial Report before the end of November. The leadership team appreciates everyone’s support in working towards this goal.
