[Latingp] Help needed in engagement text for new GP members

Thanks Mirjana, your notes much appreciated. I have some questions before
we get on to the task. Could you pls circulate a list of the 300 languages
you have selected from 455??
Do you have any pidgins and creoles among these? Have these languages all
gone through some standardisation process?  The selection was made on the
basis of community size, was it? What's the average number of speakers of a
language to be included in Latin GP selection? I'm asking these questions
because they are relevant when it comes to 'indigenous languages'. From my
experience in Australia, indigenous group representation is problematic as
a community member may identify themselves as the group representative but
may not be able to receive the elders' endorsement.
