Dear Tijani and All,

Please note that the solutions suggested to the issues are potential solutions, like they are a path forward. Whether this path will lead to the required result or not is another matter. So you should regard the question as " Do you think this path forward could solve the issue?"

Tijani, It turns out that it is very difficult to conduct a discussion off line on the word document, I have included some comments but let's continue on the google document.

The URL is https://docs.google.com/document/d/166dt6mzneVwT2yB2P7XN-_Ol3uMo-o3kYaaE4t6Fkpg/edit?ts=5d91b8b9#<https://docs.google.com/document/d/166dt6mzneVwT2yB2P7XN-_Ol3uMo-o3kYaaE4t6Fkpg/edit?ts=5d91b8b9>
issue 3 The efficient use of resources and Costs
The part in red was suggested by Nadira and that is why I added it . As for your part in green, I don't think we should add this. I said in red that "we regard this item as being potentially addressed " that means that it has the capacity to address the solution but does not mean that it will necessary solve it. however I can elaborate more in the text. Please note that they are asking if this path could lead to the solution. Whether it actually does or not is still to be seen. So yes the paths suggested could lead to the solutions.

issue 5 Representation, Inclusivity, Recruitment and Demographics
The potential suggested solutions are

The GNSO PDP 3.0 Implementation Plan will consider alternatives to the open Working
Group model and will identify and document the basic characteristics of various model(s)
The work will develop overview of different model options that have been used to date that balance
representation, inclusivity, expertise, empowerment, accountability, and participation.

• The CCWG-Accountability WS2 made recommendations by which ICANN may define,
measure, report, support, and promote diversity, and to increase AC/SO accountability,
transparency, participation, and outreach.

• ATRT3 is developing a possible recommendation focused on Board effectiveness and
efficiency, and will address, among other criteria, inclusivity and diversity.

• The CCWG-Accountability-WS2 recommended that an AC/SO/Group that elects it officers
should consider term limits. The GNSO PDP 3.0 Implementation Plan aims to commence

So yes the above proposed ways forward might successfully address the issues of Inclusivity, representation, recruitment and demographics as well as the issue that you raise about the term limit which is one of many items linked to this issue. The aggregate effect and the end result is yet to be seen as for all the other issues.

Issue 6 Culture+trust+Silos
I don't know why we should undermine the suggested solutions, also what is the merit of substituting "activities" with "behavior" it is not only about how people conduct themselves but it is also about what is being done and the actions taken that could lead to loss of trust.

Let's continue on the document, where it is more possible to exchange thoughts, in addition we can all contribute to the work. The google document gives all the right to edit, but please work only in suggesting mode.

Thank you
Hadia

Thank you Tijani for your updates. It is better that you put the edits on the word document as I do not have the right to accept on the google document. Zakir has made some edits that I was going to add to the original, but could not accept through the google document.

Kind regards
Hadia
