[Npoc-discuss] 2023 NPOC Election Results

Dear members,

I am incredibly grateful and honoured to have been elected as Policy Chair!
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you who nominated, supported and voted for me.

This opportunity means a great deal to me, and I am committed to serving our community with dedication and passion.  I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me and I promise to uphold the responsibilities of this role to the best of my abilities.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to the outgoing chair, @Raoul for his leadership and valuable contributions and guidance during the last two years.  As Glen rightly said, democracy is messy, and it’s hard. It’s never easy. I believe it is important that we look beyond this election cycle and politics in order to continue shaping proposed policies that advance our constituency. 

@Judith, I understand that the outcome may not have aligned with your aspirations, and I want you to know that I recognise the effort and passion you brought to the table. It was evident that you genuinely cared about the issues at hand and had a vision for our constituency's future. I believe it is essential for us to unite and move forward with a shared commitment to serving our community. I believe that together we can achieve great things by leveraging our collective strengths and ideas.

Together, we can create meaningful policies, advocate for our shared interests, and strive for a more inclusive and impactful policy work. Once again, thank you for your support, and I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you.
