My apologies for missing tonight's call, I unexpectedly got stuck at the children's bedside due to an unwell toddler and just got out now.

Perhaps we could reconsider the scheduling of the call if you'd be so kind to consider e.g. a later hour, as this timing keeps me on a conflicting schedule with my kids too often.
