[tech-whois] A follow up session in San Francisco?

Same for me, with the proviso that I would prefer to think of IRIS as
project that will not be revived in itself. We should directly start
work on an RWS-based solution and think of ways to integrate ideas and
lessons learned from IRIS in it.

I believe that a face-to-face meeting would help to establish consensus
on a resolute advancement, using means that are available to ICANN's
technical staff.

For instance:
1) introduce an RWS-based service for whois.iana.org as an example
2) create are real Internic whois service for information on registrars,
as an addition to http://www.internic.org/regist.html and based on RWS
3) issue a proposal for the replacement of the port-43 whois requirement
with a new RWS-based standard for gTLD registries.

Regards,

Werner
