Dear Sir or Madam,

The internet is a public utility not a private money bank. Increasing prices of .com domains will have an adverse affect on the great majority who can afford it least and limit their access to global economic and social opportunities.

Poor people in developed and non developed economies should not be penalised in this way.

If ICANN proceeds in this regrettable manner there will eventually be legislation to curb its power. This damage its credibility and impact returns to shareholders. It is feasible ICANN responsibilities may even be transferred elsewhere.

Taxation of global internet giants indicate such global action by authorities is not just a vague threat.

Faithfully,

Adrian McKeon
