Thanks David.  We'd have to coordinate with our colleagues in the policy development team as well, and they might have some ideas to help share. Please feel free to share your recommendations with the IOT.  As noted on the CCWG call, we from the ICANN Org are willing to assist the SOs/ACs as much as we can as the community develops a process for this, and a webinar could be a great way to start that off.  We would want ICANN Org facilitation to be a support role, and not in a way that is seen as ICANN Org overtaking the work of the community on this.

Hi Sam and Liz,



As you know the IRP IOT has expressed a willingness to help SOs/ACs along the way as they begin to undertake their roles with respect to the IRP process under Bylaw Section 4.3.



It seems important to start on this work very soon as we near the time that the Expression of Interest form will be released to prospective IRP panelists. And, of course, the bylaws provisions are stated in general terms - there will be a fair amount of organizational work required.



It might be of interest to put together a webinar in the coming weeks for SO/AC leadership - to go through the relevant bylaws, perhaps decide upon a communications tool (special email list?), begin to discuss organizing and working methodologies, decide whether a meeting would be needed at ICANN59 dedicated to this effort.



I would be happy to discuss - and perhaps we can discuss briefly on the call tomorrow (might fit under remaining work plan at end). I will share this mail with the IOT tomorrow, prior to the call.
